Islanders Education is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Main Teacher – Economics (Secondary) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Economics to students at various levels and helping them develop their skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree (MNQF Level 7) in Economics or a relevant qualification in the subject area along with a teaching Diploma (MNQF 5) or a higher teaching qualification.
- Must be proficient in English language (speaking and writing).
- Strong knowledge and understanding of subject concepts and principles.
- Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans and teaching strategies.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Relevant experience in teaching Economics (IGCSE & A Level).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in economics or a related field.
- Teaching experience in an international school and demonstrate knowledge of Cambridge Economics syllabus.
Salary and benefits
- MVR 20,800.00 - MVR 22,400.00 per month ( Annual Income: MVR 265,400.00 - MVR 284,600.00 per annum)
