JOB TITLE: SHOP MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Shop Manager is responsible for setting sales targets, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing strategies to achieve sales goals. They analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data driven decisions to optimize revenue generation and maximize profitability. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the shop’s reputation. 
• Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the shop. 
• Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming  customer initiatives and monitoring what local and international retailers are doing. 
• Monitor and positively affect profitability in the areas of customer service, sales, expense  control and risk management. 
• Review and analyze sales statistics and markets to determine customer needs to achieve  maximum market share and sales growth. 
• Organizing, preparing and arranging promotional materials and displays. 
• Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking or in performing services  for customers. 
• Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality  goods. 
• Items stock and reorder when items drop to a specified level. 
• Responsible for and expected to meet or exceed assigned sales plans and target metric 
• Minimizes loss by ensuring all loss prevention procedures are followed. 
• Provides suggestions and ideas on ways to improve systems and processes. 
 
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS 

• Diploma in business administration or a related field preferred. 
• Minimum 2 years previous experience in a management or retail position. 
• Strong leadership and management skills. 
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
• Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. 
• Basic knowledge of accounting. 
• Strong customer focus and decision-making skills.
