Job Title: Assistant Internal Auditor
Department: Internal Audit/ WAMCO

Salary Package: - 12,000MVR
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Internal Auditor in developing and updating the Internal Audit Universe.
- Participate in opening meetings with client to explain the scope and objectives of the audit engagement to client and provide an overview of all steps in the audit process.
- Work with the Internal Auditor to develop the annual plan of the Internal Audit function.
- Conduct risk assessments by understanding the systems, interviewing the department heads, developing flow charts and other risk assessment techniques.
- Provide assurance on the adequacy of the controls in place and assist in the review process of such controls.
- Develop assignment plans for assurance and consultancy assignments with the help of the Internal Auditor.
- Conduct audit assignments as per approved audit plan and collect required information and audit evidences.
- Safekeep information, documents and audit evidences collected during the audit process, and manage audit files appropriately.
- Participate in closing meetings with client at the end of fieldwork, provide clear explanation for identified issues in reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of a concise and informative audit report to effectively communicate the findings and recommendations.
- Actively work with other colleagues within the Department and promote effective team work.
- Work on the additional tasks assigned by the Internal Auditor and CIA.
- Follow the Internal Audit International Standards in conducting audits and gather up-to-date knowledge of best practices.
- Participate in the activities of the organization and maintain a positive relationship with staff of the organization
Other Skills and Requirements
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Skills in Word and Excel
- Has knowledge of best practiced policies and procedures and business processes
- Good interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal)
- High personal integrity with strong ethics and values
- Ability to stand firm on difficult issues when required
- Displays awareness of the need for confidentially in sensitive matters
- Commitment to self-development and expansion of knowledge
- Flexibility to travel as required
Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirement
- Completed A level and have achieved minimum ‘C’ Grade pass in a total of three (3) subjects, including Dhivehi and minimum 2 subjects from the commerce stream subjects include Account, Commerce, Business Studies, Economics and Mathematics
OR
- Diploma (MQA Level 5) in Business, Accounting, Finance or Auditing
