RELATIONSHIP MANAGER
Job Purpose
Responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of clients, marketing and promoting MCB's products and services according to MCB customer service standards and identifying/exploring business development opportunities within the risk framework set by the Bank.
Responsibilities
• Conduct credit and customer analysis and work to accurately evaluate requests, assess risks and it’s impact on pricing and provide recommendations to Management.
• To conduct regular assessment of the customer profile, the regular verification and renewal of the collaterals, securities, financials.
• Monitor a portfolio where facilities are in excesses and/or arrears and take immediate action to prevent same from turning non performing.
• Explore new opportunities in line with the strategic plan and maintain long-term relationship with customers to ensure business continuity and growth.
• Propose customer visits, organise them, attend them, submit report and follow-up on actions following customer queries.
• Recommend appropriate financing solutions which is beneficial for both the customers and the Bank.
• Attend promptly to requests, queries and complaints from internal and external stakeholders as per set standards.
• Develop business from new & existing clients, through strategic penetration into identified market/sectors across the entire portfolio spectrum, while managing profitability of client portfolio.
Requirements
• Bachelors in Banking /Finance/Accounting
• 3 years’ experience in the management of a portfolio of corporate customers
• Good knowledge of Accounting Principles & Practice, Customer Lending, Credit Principles & Risk Management
• Good knowledge in the credit analysis of complex requests
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of written and oral communication in English
